HEAD OF RESEARCH AND INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES

The J. Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte is seeking a Head of Research & Instructional Services to provide vision and strategic direction in offering user-centered support for the scholarly activities of the UNC Charlotte community. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Public Services, the successful candidate will manage and support a dynamic and collaborative team of faculty librarians and professional staff in developing and delivering innovative services, resources, and programs. The person in this position will lead the department in engaging with faculty and students, providing in-depth, specialized research consultation and reference services, offering library and research instruction, and conducting liaison-led collection development.

HEAD OF ASSESSMENT

The J. Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte is seeking a Head of Assessment to oversee and participate in assessment opportunities throughout the university and promote a data-informed approach to achieving strategic goals. The Head of Assessment promotes a culture of assessment across the J. Murrey Atkins Library by coordinating a comprehensive assessment program that includes quantitative, qualitative, and usability practices. This position ensures the collection, analysis, and reporting of both qualitative and quantitative data; consults on assessment methods; and provides training on various assessment tools and techniques. The work of the Assessment Team enables the J. Murrey Atkins Library to document impact on our patrons, as well as make evidence-based decisions to continuously improve programs, services, and spaces.

HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES LIBRARIAN

The J. Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte invites applications for a Health & Human Services Librarian to provide research support for students and faculty in the academic programs of the College of Health & Human Services. As an engaged faculty librarian in Research & Instructional Services, the person in this position will design and teach instructional sessions, provide in-depth, specialized research consultation and reference services, and assist with collection development for assigned academic programs.

DIGITAL ARCHIVIST

The J. Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte is seeking a Digital Archivist to develop and implement a comprehensive digital archives program in accordance with emerging standards and best practices. The Digital Archivist will work collaboratively on the establishment of policies and procedures to enhance preservation, accessibility, and discoverability of Special Collections and University Archives digital resources, including digital repository development.

FM TECH BUILDING TRADES

The J. Murrey Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte is seeking a Library Maintenance Assistant, classified as a FM Tech Building Trades. This SHRA staff position is responsible for supporting the Library Facility Team by handling maintenance issues, assisting with special projects and events, covering some mail room activities, and collecting recyclables.
